I work from a person-centered perspective with the belief that each person can guide their own path toward their goals to wellness and recovery. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most critical components for facilitating change, and my aim is to provide an an empathic, genuine, and non-judgmental space to build a trusting and collaborative relationship with you. My goal is to begin by meeting you exactly where you are in your journey toward change and healing.
I have experience working with clients of different sexual orientations, gender identities, and age groups. Areas of specialty and interest include: eating disorders/disordered eating, OCD and other anxiety disorders, depression, postpartum support, personality disorders, and trauma work. I use an integration of theories and techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, interpersonal/psychodynamic therapy, and existential therapy.
On a more personal note, I am married with two young children, and in my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time at Lake Burton with family and friends, and hiking. I find that taking naps is a great way to rest my busy brain! Highly recommend it!
